Meet Joe, the heart and soul behind The Marketing Meetup. Seven years ago, Joe was the guy at networking events who felt too shy to strike up a conversation. He often felt that people were more interested in his job title than getting to know him as a person. That didn't sit well with Joe, and he decided to do something about it.

So, he created The Marketing Meetup, a place where marketers could gather and feel valued not just for their professional roles but as individuals. It's a community that's all about support and treating each other with kindness – a group of "positively lovely" marketers, as Joe likes to say.

Fast forward to today, and Joe’s vision has blossomed into a thriving global community of over 38,000 marketers. It's a place where learning and connection happen every week, featuring amazing guest speakers like Mark Ritson and Rory Sutherland.

Joe's not just about The Marketing Meetup, though. He's a man of many passions. He runs the 'Humans Come First Podcast' and 'Humans of Healthcare', highlighting his deep interest in people's stories and well-being. He's also involved with the Marketing Academy, runs his own agency called Empath Marketing, and contributes to the Cambridge University Accelerator.

Joe's voice has resonated far beyond his own community. He's shared his insights on platforms like the 'Everyone Hates Marketers Podcast', 'The Next Web', and as a columnist for Marketing Week. He's also been a guest lecturer at various universities and a speaker at numerous marketing events.
